Parents
epb1937@scrtc.com
Years have past and the children are grown.
Now, they are off and out on their own.
Parents are left at home alone
With an ache and a pain in every bone.
They sit and talk of the "Use to be"
When the kids were still at their knee.
Parents would like to give their children a tip,
To learn from their elders just a little bit.
But opinions are best kept under the hat;
For the kids now must, themselves, "Step up to bat".
Parents could give some good advice.
Children's plans are often like rolling dice.
So, it's not parents' intentions to interfere or to "butt".
To keep from interfering, parents need to keep their mouths shut.
