In Memory

In Memory of Ollie May Poston Presley and Isaac Martin Presley
The years pass by so swiftly
It seems just yesterday,
Mama was quickly called to Heaven
In the year 1966, the 18th of May.
She left us so suddenly.
We were so lonely and sad.
Especially Papa, he grieved so;
But he knew Mama was glad.
He soon left us too, for Heaven.
They are walking the streets of gold,
Hand-in-hand down Heaven's Avenue
In the city where they'll never grow old.
Mama talked so much about Heaven
Where there is no sorrow or pain,
And everything is so beautiful.
That was her one life's aim.
She always prayed for us children.
She taught us to be honest and good,
And give our hearts to Jesus,
To thank Him for our food.
To set a good example
For our neighbors and friend,
And to the stranger that we meet
A helping hand to lend.
They are both singing the praises of Jesus
They are laughing and shouting with glee,
Someday we will meet them in Heaven
And live throughout eternity.
