FIELDS OF FOREVER
epb1937@scrtc.net
Perhaps life on this earth is
To learn certain lessons in love
And when we have completed them
We graduate to Heaven above.
Numbers of years matter not
As long as our course is through
Then for a time we are separated
From those on earth we knew.
For even a hundred earthly years
Are but as a blink of an eye
In that realm called Eternity
Which we enter when we die.
We hold even tighter to our hope
As tears of sorrow are shed
For love is ever undying
So it can never be dead.
Then let us comfort each other
Whenever a loved one departs
For they will never truly leave
Their place within our hearts.
They simply await our reunion
When our bones return to the sod
We join them to frolic unfettered
In the Fields of Forever with God.
