Farewell to Guides

This is our last year for the Salvation Army Guiding units. We are all upset about leaving guides. We have leaders in the unit this past year. We had lots of fun. A special thank you to Firebug, Lynda Reid, for her excellent leadership at Peterborough Temple.

We also want to say a sincere thank you to those people who have offered countless hours of leadership with Brownies and Guides. Our hats go off to Darlene Ewing, Joanne Minaker, Kendra Miller, Star Allen, Wendy Turner, Lynda Reid, JoAnne Leach, Anne Maslen, Lesley Lee and all the other leaders and helpers who have assisted through the years.

College & University Update
Alison's Flying High

This past March, the University of Western's Faculty Singers had the priviledge of working with Ms. Jing Ling Tam, a world renowned mezzo-soprano and choral director from Arlington University, Texas. Before departing, Ms. Tam invited Alison Carr and a friend Kylee Evans to visit her in order to receive private choral conducting lessons and voice lessons. We wish the girls a wonderful experience and journey as they fly out Saturday, April 25th for Arlington, Texas. Their week long activities will also include several recitals, mini operas and musicales. All the best Alison from your friends at Peterborough Temple Corps.

Please let us know who's graduating and/or plans for next year so that we can keep the corps folk Informed.

On-Line News

At point of print ??? people have visited Peterborough Temple Times Web Site. ??? have signed our guest book. Greg Wombwell and Murray Carr are now accepting photographs and group news which can be shared "world-wide". The following message was received from Divisional Youth Secretary Major Gary Cooper on April 6 -

"I'm glad to know that the Temple Times is now on-line. You're ahead of DHQ. WOW!"

Your Y.P.S.M. has a treat for anyone in the Sunday School who can replace the question marks above with numbers from the Web sight. Remember to sign the guest book.

April 4 - Murder Mystery Night

On April 4, seventeen of our curious Youth Group members met with Brian Lee for a night of Murder Mystery. As we slipped in and out of character we were challenged to draw parallels to "real life" people within the Bible. Ask any number of our teens what the people "Water Hollar" could possibly have in common with Jesus, Mary & Judas???????????
