Cori, your story is amazing. I gave birth to an 8 lb. 10 oz. boy 7 weeks ago, and I don't think I've ever read anything that has made me stop and count my blessings as fervently as Bo's birth story. It brought me to tears more than once, but at the end, my tears were of happiness that your tiny baby survived and has done so well after such a difficult beginning. Hello, I am so glad that baby Bo is doing well. I can relate to your little miracle. I am a Mother of Emily Kristine who was born 13 weeks premature weighing in at 1lb 15ozs. I couldn't believe there was a love bug born smaller than her! What a gift. E ily was born due to me having Chronic Kidney Disease. I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, toximia, hypertension and kidney failure at 26 weeks. They held off until I was 27 weeks after receiving the very important beta-methazine shots that helped Ms. Em ly's lungs. She was in the hospital NICU for 10 weeks. She is named Emily because it means "strength". I can not have anymore children, but Emily is lively enough for 2 or 3!! And, I can smile knowing that.

What a great story.....I could not stop reading until I got to the last word. We have a preemie...born Nov. 30, l998, 24 weeker...weighed one pound and 4 ounces....l2 inches long. A little bigger than you.Now as of Janury 6, 2000 she is l3 pounds and 6 ounces...crawling, pulling up, eating...doing great but still isn't completely out of the woods. This is my granddaughter. Boy do I know all you have gone through plus some. My son DaVaughnte was born March 23,1996, 23 weeks gestation at the weight of 1lb 6oz. He came home after 3 months , but later was readmitted with RSV and remained hospitalize till he was 11 months old; just in time for my water to break. Oh yea, I was pregnant again. He stayed with his grandmother until I gave birth three days later to my daughter,another preemie, but not so bad off; she was 27 weeks. They are both fine, thank God. Teya 2 and Davaug nte is 3. I'm so happy for your little miracle and how good you guys are coming along.

Hello Cori. Your family is beautiful! You did a great job on your webpage!! Bo is one heck of a fighter! Our son Jacob, was born @ 27 weeks, he weighed 1lb.4oz. and was 12 inches long. Unknown to myself and my doctor, my placenta had stopped working prope ly weeks before. Jacob was breathing on his own only 12 hours after he was born!! He spent seven weeks in the NICU, he had a few a's and b's, but other than that, he's perfect!! He has no complications due to his early birth! We thank God every day for ou Miracle Micro-Preemie!!!

I just wanted to say I love your site. I hope to have one set up for my son Michael. He was born at 25 wks 6 days. I was on bedrest for 2 1/2wks before they couldn't stop my contractions. I just went into the hospital for a cold that I had. They checked m over and said they wanted to check the baby...thats when it seemed my world was going to fall apart..I was just two days shy of 23wks!!!! He was born on June 3rd. Dear Bo, Please tell your mommy that your page was an inspiration to my mommy and my family that last few months I was inside my mommies belly. Those doctor specialist guys didn't think I was gonna make it as far as I did, but I fooled them and stayed until I was 36 1/2 weeks! Mommy says your story gave them hope that I would be ok too if I came out at 29 weeks. Those special doctors (mommy calls them perinatologists) made us go see them twice a week until I was born (I came into the world the same way you did Bo!) It was a lon trip twice a week too... it was over 200 miles roung trip to see the special doctor and then have them put that gooie stuff on mommy's belly so they could look at me. Anyway, mommy says to tell your mommy thank you for making the nice page all about you. Love, Kaitlyn

I just had to say that I could have written this story myself, the only difference was my baby was full term, after months of bedrest off and on, and my placentia did not rupture, but I had bleeding off and on the last three months, i have really grown to realize what a mircle my daughter really is thank you

I really liked the pictures. My daughter Sarah was born Sept 1994, at 26 weeks, and weighted 1lb 4oz, and was 11 1/2 in high. She spent 3 months to the day in the hospital, 5 weeks on the ventilator. I also got to kangaroo her at 3 weeks old. I took he home when she was 3 lb 14oz. I feel really lucky that she was no respiratory, cardiac or neurological problems. She is 4 years old now. Other than being a little small... she is just as active and vocal as anoather 4 year old. Good luck.
