My husband's great, great grandfather, John Almer Lewin, Sr. fought in the War of 1812 with the First Regiment of Ohio Militia under Captain Pinney. I have done extensive searching on the 'web' trying to find information about the war and its battles. Since I was unable to find a good site for links, I decided to make a comprehensive listing for fellow researchers. I hope these links will be beneficial.
