Welcome to my personal page. After putting all the 'genie' pages on this site, I decided to take a litle break and tell ya'll a little bit about my family and friends. Hope ya'll enjoy it!
I was born and raised in North Charleston, SC and graduated from North Charleston High School in 1975. (Do the math and you can figure out just how old I am. LOL). My husband of 25 years, Bob is from the great state of Nebraska. I found out when I married him that when you marry a Nebraskan, you marry the whole state! He converted this Carolina Gamecock fan into a die-hard Cornhusker in very short order. Bob and I have two children: Katie and Joshua, one son-in-law-George, and two cats, Tomahawk Chop and Stormy. Our beloved Siberian Husky, Alex passed away on 22 August 1997 at the age of 14. We all miss her greatly.
My daughter, Katie got married in February of 1996. Here are two pictures from her wedding. From l-r are Joshua ( my son), and Katie's new brothers-in-laws, Frank, Chip and James Langdon.
l-r Chris and Don Langdon, Katie, George, Ellen and Bob Lewin.
Pictured here are David, my oldest brother, my sister, Carolyn, my 'middle' brother, Glenn, me ( I'm the short one! *g*), my dad, Bill and my stepmother, Maureen.
This picture of my husband, Bob and I was taken at my friend's wedding 11 September 1999.
I have many interests but first and foremost is Genealogy. I have been a ‘genie bug’ for about 20 years and have recently begun research into my husband’s family. It will probably be a decade long project but it is truly a labor of love.
My other interests are:
Reading: I love historical fiction, science fiction and just about anything in the non-fiction genre. I think it is safe to say I would rather read than breathe!
Cross-stitching: I have been doing this for about 10 years and really enjoy it, but have to be in the mood to stitch . I do stitching in spurts of creativity.
Baseball: I am a long time fan of the Atlanta Braves . I have watched them go from the absolute worst team in the majors to one of the best. They are the team of the 90’s. No one was more thrilled than I to see them win the 95 World Series.
Some of my family members and friends have their own web pages. Don't miss these sites!
