Rock and Roll in Literature

Paper heading

At the MetTim read the following works by John Lennon

They are all from John Lennon In His Own Write (published in 1964) except for "Be were wolf..." which is from Skywriting by World of Mouth (published posthumously in 1986).

I found what Paul McCartney had to say in the Introduction of In His Own Write to be useful: "There are some bound to be thickheads who will wonder why some of it doesn't make sense, and others who will search for hidden meanings. 'What's a Brummer?'...None of it has to make sense and if it seems funny then that's enough."

As Tim said after reading Deaf Ted, Danoota (and me), "Refreshing, old John, isn't he?"
