MUEHLEBACH HOTEL

Ann-Margret sang here for the Danny Ferguson Band in Kansas City in 1958 when she was 17. Demolition experts set off 150 pounds of explosives to bring down the 40-year-old Muehlebach Hotel Towers in Kansas City on February 18, 1996. A major expansion of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown called for the renovation and annexation to the historic Muehlebach Hotel and construction of a new tower near the Kansas City Convention Center Complex.
