Party's over for Hewitt's 'Time'
Fox has pulled the plug on "Time of Your Life," the Jennifer Love Hewitt
"Party of Five" spinoff. The Columbia TriStar TV drama series was relaunched
this month after a weak start in the fall. But "Time of Your Life" averaged
barely 3 million viewers during its last two airings in the Wednesday 9 p.m.
slot. Fox is believed to have at least five more "Time of Your Life"
episodes in the can. The show will be replaced this week by a rerun of the
special "World's Most Incredible Animal Rescues 3." The premiere of another
Fox summer drama series, Warner Bros. TV's "Opposite Sex," has been moved to
8 p.m. Monday, July 17. That show was set to bow this week in the Wednesday
8 p.m. slot as a teen-oriented companion to "Time of Your Life," but the
hour will instead be filled by a "TV Guide Truth Behind the Sitcom Scandals"
special.
