1.All Operators must follow all of Austnet's policies or be deluserd and/or suspended, type /motd services* to see these policies. Policies: * No clones * No Abusive behaviour * No Flooding * No Mass messaging/advertising/inviting 2.No Operator Wars This includes banning, deoping, kicking, or anything else that will alter their presence on the channel. Also private arguments are classified under this section and they are to be taken out of channel and into private message at all times. 3.Banning/kicking must be accompanied with a clear and precise reason tagged on the end of the kick/ban. If no reason is specified then be ready to explain your reason to a senior operator. 4.Any attempt in taking over or harming the channel of #IRCAddicts / #CyberSlums will be met with a deluser and a permanent ban. 5.Operators can use any tools needed to do their job ie. scripts.. you may use anything you wish as long as it does not break any of the channel/op rules or Austnet policies. 6.Helping people is not mandatory but be aware we take it into consideration when adjusting levels for operators. 7.You must have patience You must be able to warn before your kick maybe even talk it out in private message. All offences get warnings except the following, Advertising, Flooding and nasty Chan/Op abuse since those are in the MOTD and I classify that as a warning. 8.Adding people to database All level 2+ AOP's must be approved by the owner or the other 199's *before* they are added at that level. Also "Club Members" will only be level 1 without AOP or AOV and they will be put into consideration for 100 AOP's if they seem to be a good user. 9.No one may question another ops actions, ie. kicking/banning, unless it deals with a ban or channel mode that is "suspicious". Otherwise, leave it be unless a higher level op asks you for a reason. Rules of the Channel Small Note: All Operators must follow and enforce these rules, these rules are not here to boost our ego in kicking people but to boost our channel's popularity and attract the age group we desire. 1.No flooding, this is anything more than 5 lines of text (without colour) and 8 lines (with colour)...any more than this is considered flooding and will get you kicked or banned from channel. 2.You can use all caps but if its is requested that you stop you must. 3.No Advertising, this will get you kicked or banned from the channel and you may also lose your channel due to an IRCoperator suspension. 4.No Operator/User abuse, any abuse seen in channel will be dealt with accordingly. 5.No repeating more than 3 times. You only need to say something once. 6.Clones will be taken care of by the IRCops, we do NOT kick for clones at all or warn for them, we let the IRCops do the work. 7.All Ops are here to help, and to join in the general fun that chatting can provide.
