Belle

Isabella, or Belle, is the daughter of Marlena and John whose paternity Sami kept secret for several months. Stefano DiMera eventually spilled the beans to Roman after reading Sami's diary.
Belle was born in a cabin where her then believed father, Roman, was not present. We later
learned that the man who delivered her, John Black, was truly her father. Belle was a result of one of Marlena's affairs with John.
Sami learned that Belle was John's child and changed blood test results so that it would confirm that Roman was the father.
Sami then kidnapped Belle and tried to sell her on the black market so that there would no longer be a reminder of Marlena's affair with John. This way no one would ever learn the truth about Belle's real father.
John and Kristen were able to find Belle before Sami sold her, and she was reunited with Marlena and Roman.
Stefano had Peter steal Sami's diary and he learned that John was Belle's father. Stefano told Roman the truth and Sami confirmed it.
Marlena was shocked when an angry Roman told her that Belle was John's child and not his.
Marlena moved out of the house, and lived at the Horton Center until John bought her the
penthouse.
John held Belle for the first time, knowing that she was his daughter.
Marlena was believed to have died in 1995, as a result of the possession. John tired to explain to Belle that her mother was gone, when Belle said "Mom" for the first time.
Marlena was found to be very much alive and was able to reunit with her daughter.
John was almost taken from them in 96' when he was conviced of Tony's murder. He said a
heartbreaking goodbye to his daughter, believing that he was going to die.
In 96' Marlena was taken away from her daughter by Stefano.
During this time she had many dreams about her reunion with Belle and John. She dreamed about how they would finally be a complete family.
Stefano aloud Marlena to check on Belle using the VR goggles. She was angered to see Kristen trying to take her place as Belle's mother.
Stefano offered Marlena the chance to be with her daughter, telling her that he could kidnapp Belle and bring her to live with them. Marlena stated, "I would never subject her to a life with you. I won't let you turn her into another Tony, or heaven forbid another KRISTEN!"
Stefano came to Marlena with another offer to be with her childern again. If she spent the night with him he would set her free and let her go back to her childern. He used Marlena's love for Belle, and John, to make her agree. He brought Marlena pictures of Belle, showing her how much of Belle's life she was missing. He then went even further bringing Marlena a tape of her daughter calling for her.
While trying to decide what to do Marlena had a flashback to a time when she had just returned from the Zoo with Belle. They were with Shawn and Caroline. Shawn took Belle with him to drop off the film of the pictures they had taken that day. Marlena talked with Caroline about how she would do anything for her childern. She would even die for them. Caroline said to her,"Some things are even harder than dieing." This was one of those situations.
Her love for Belle and John ultimately made her agree to Stefano's demands, but she wasn't able to go through with it. Stefano became inraged at this.
Marlena was able to finally escape Stefano and she reunited with Belle at Shawn and Caroline's house. She had come to help Sami look for Will, who had been kidnapped.
The family spent time together on Thanksgiving at the Brady Pub.
Belle and Brady spent time with their parnets before Christmas of 96' where John and Marlena took them to see Santa. They took a beautiful family picture together. Belle had
asked Santa for a bear.
Christmas morning was a happy time for Belle as well. She opened presents with her brother and parnets.
Christmas dinner was at Shawn and Caroline's house, where Belle played with the blocks, with Carrie, Austin, and Brady.
Belle, then went to the hostipal to here the reading of the Christmas story, by Mike.
Marlena was absent from Brady's B-day party because she was locked in the secret room.
After John and Marlena had reunited in 1997, they all became a family again.
Belle looked beautiful at the almost wedding of John and Marlena in 1997.
Belle was the flower girl at "Susan" and Edmunds wedding.
Belle appeared again when she ate the drugged candy, left by Kristen, that was meant for
Marlena.
Roman found Belle on the floor of the penthouse.
He gave her medicine for the allergy to the peniclian in the candy.
Roman rusted Belle to the hostipal where she was able to be saved.
Marlena and John rusted to be at Belle's side, where she evidently opened her eyes, and asked for her Bear and some ice cream. John went off to fulfill his daughters wish, while Roman told Marlena that he was stepping back and letting John and Marlena be together.
Belle spent time with her parents after they returned from New Orleans.
