Kyle Chandler
Occupation: Actor.
Birthday: Sept. 17, 1965.
Birthplace: Buffalo, but I grew up in Lake Forest, Ill., and Loganville, Ga.
Current home: Hollywood.
Marital status: Single.
Car: A 1991 black Thunderbird.
Working on: ''Homefront,'' on ABC-TV.
The last good movie I saw was: ''Cape Fear.''
The book I've been reading is: ''The 900 Days: The Siege of Leningrad,'' by Harrison Salisbury.
Favorite childhood memory: My father used to pick me up from school, and I'd ask him 10 times to take me to the ice cream parlor. He'd say no nine times, and then we'd end up there.
Prized possession: The cross from my father's casket. He died in 1979.
Nobody knows I'm: Awfully happy.
I'm better than anyone else when it comes to: Getting myself into situations I don't need to be in.
I'd give anything to meet: Jimmy Stewart. I'd like to say thank you.
I hope I never have to: Call my mother again and have her get me out of jail. I got into some crazy stuff in college.
A really great evening to me is: Driving outside of LA and finding a quiet place.
The one thing I can't stand is: People who get in your face.
If I could change one thing about myself, I would: Listen more.
People who knew me in high school thought I was: Really weird. I was very, very, very shy.
I knew I was a grownup when I: Left home at 22 to come out to Los Angeles.
If I've learned one thing in life, it's: That I don't know anything.
Major accomplishment: Being able to support myself and help out my mother.
My most humbling experience: Moving to Los Angeles. It's a tough city, especially when you grew up in Georgia.
When people first meet me, they think: ''He's a nice fella.''
The words that best describe me: Quiet, loves to laugh, judgmental.
