Artist's Renderings

This is probably the most interesting thing I've been sent in a while. I received an e-mail from a Hungarian man named Taca. Taca was a political refugee in Amsterdam, and from 1989-1990 created art from images he captured off television. Taca writes:

"I made [these artworks] back in 1989-1990 using Ralph Macchio’s image. At that time I lived in Amsterdam (as a political refugee) and only made photographs from the TV screen, from my on videos and from any other TV images. I’m not a real Ralph Macchio fan (maybe I was) but I definitely love the style he was carrying. My favorite is The Outsiders But I think I have to say that its not only Ralph’s excellence but also Coppola’s.

I hope You can see and enjoy my ‘art’.

Actually the consideration of the pictures it doesn’t really matter that its made off Ralph Macchio or not, but what he was representing for me is important of course."

Therefore, here are 6 of Taca's renderings of Ralph Macchio's image, taken from various films and programs. I have provided the artist's notes where appropriate. These photos may not be reproduced, redistributed, or resold without proper permission.
