International Comic Books

An Unexplored Field, more or less!

Ok, there is international stuff all over this web site, I admit it. If you haven't found it yet, go and look at the Captain Marvel page for a real treat.

Yes, this page has an official theme that should blast you out of your seat with the sound of bagpipes, provided everything is working, you have a soundcard and a fast enough modem, and Liveupdate is on line. Don't like it? Then press the stop button! By the way, the little red slide is a volume control!

Roy Carson, as rendered by Denis McLaughlin, is, perhaps, my favorite British comic book character. The page below is actually the cover of a twelve page comic from 1948. It has added interest for me because the story takes place in Blackpool, Lancashire, my mother's home town and a place I have visited many, many times.

So, here's a British edition of Captain Marvel Jr. from 1953. Cool!
