Together again: Michael Dietz (Joe) and Michelle Stafford briefly split up, but according to the October 28th edition of SOD, they are back together again.
Two real-life soap opera weddings took place on May 3. Cari Shayne (ex-Karen, GH) married her longtime boyfriend, David Dean, and PC's Jon Lindstrom (Kevin) married Days' Eileen Davidson (Kristen/Susan).
Shane and Dean had a lovely ceremony in front of family and friends in their home state of Missouri.
SOM previously reported that Lindstrom and Davidson tied the knot in California, but the newlyweds recently filled us in on some of the details of their honeymoon. "We wed in central California and we honeymooned in Big Sur," Lindstrom says. "We love it up there. We stayed a couple of days and then went to San Francisco. Neither of us had been there in years, but we both fell in love with it all over again. We spent about five days in the Napa Valley, where neither of us had ever been before."
The busy stars made sure their hectic work schedules didn't interfere with their wedding and honeymoon. "We negotiated it in our contracts," says Lindstrom with a laugh. "Wendy, (Riche, PC's executive producer) and the producers at Days were just great. They really worked around our schedules.
Wedding plans for GH stars
While Vanessa Marcil is still deciding whether to stay with GH another year, there is another decision she has made. As reported last issue, Marcil will wed co-star Tyler Baker (Nikolas) on December 14, 1997.
"I'm thinking about having an 1800's-style wedding," muses the bride-to-be. "I'll have to have my dress made anyway, because my measurements are so wierd." One of the biggest hurdles for the prospective bride and groom is over, though. "Our moms met at the Emmys," grins Marcil.
Marriage isn't the only change Baker is making in his life. He has decided to change his name to Tyler Christopher. "I've wanted to change my name for a long time," the actor explains. Marcil is expected to go by Vanessa Marcil Christopher after their wedding.
