What Easter Means To Me

Easter Card

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was
bruised for our iniquities...and with
his stripes we are healed.
~Isaiah 53:5

Easter is my most favored of all celebrations! It is dedicated to the glory filled day of the awesome resurrection of Christ Jesus from death. The day to mark our spirits with His eternal promise. He who has given life, has made it possible for us to have the freedom to return to our true home...heaven.

Ponder the achievement of God. He doesn't condone our sin, nor does He compromise His standard. He doesn't ignore our rebellion, nor does He relax His demands. Rather than dismiss our sin, He assumes our sin and, incredibly, sentences Himself. God's holiness is honored. Our sin is punished ... and we are redeemed. God does what we cannot do so we can be what we dare not dream: perfect before God.

Herald of Healing

It is finished! Christ is slain,
On the altar of creation,
Offering for a world's salvation
Sacrifice of love and pain.
Lord, Thy love through pain revealing,
Purge our passions, scourge our vice,
Till, upon the tree of healing,
Self is slain in sacrifice.

~Gabriel Gillett

Yes, He did rise up to heaven! One day Jesus will return for this He has promised. To know Him is to love and praise Him!!!

"Behold I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.
"I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star."
And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. (Rev. 22:15-17)

He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. (Rev. 22:20-21)
