You will then be put through to a British Telecom emergency operator, as soon as the operator answers your call you are being recorded, and the address of the subscriber or telephone kiosk the call is made from is traced and logged

They will ask you which service you require


Say Clearly Either

Fire
Police
Ambulance

For this example you require the Fire Service for an incident in Ludgershall
The emergency operator will put you through to Wiltshire Fire Brigade control room where a control operator will take your call
The information they will require from you is

The ADDRESS of the incident
The TOWN in which the incident is in
The NATURE of the incident
The nearest MAIN ROAD to the incident
Additional information could be any LANDMARKS near to the incident

For this example this incident is a house fire at 10 Dewys Lane in Ludgershall, People are trapped in the house, and the house is by the Queens Head pub
so the ADDRESS is 10 DEWYS LANE
The TOWN is LUDGERSHALL
The NATURE is a HOUSE FIRE with PEOPLE TRAPPED
The nearest MAIN ROAD is THE HIGH STREET
And the LANDMARK is THE QUEENS HEAD PUB
