driving for #9 in 99 but in mid season Melling Racing let him go, then Jerry went to fill in for the injured Ernie Irvan. But Ernie decided to retire, making Jerry the driver of the M&M's #36 for the rest of 1999. In 1999 M&M's released their new Crispy M&Ms. To celebrate they decided to have a car featuring Crispy. Making Jerry the official driver of the Crispy M&M's #36.
