May 29th, 1999 at a Michigan golf course, one of the greatest
men in motorsports passed away at age 54 of a fatal heart
attack. Harry Melling the owner of the #9 Melling Racing Team
sponsored by Cartoon Network/WCW/TBS with driver Jerry
Nadeau. Harry Melling was also the one who gave the most
popular driver Bill Elliott curently driver of the #94 McDonalds
Ford his start in Winston Cup. Harry will be missed.

June 13th, 1999 the day of the Kmart Michigan 400 would have
been Harry's 55th Birthday so in memory of Harry the Melling
team did something special for their late owner. They took
their primary car, the Dexter #9 and painted it red, the same
color as the first Harry Melling race car. Then on the rear
decklid they put on a special decal that read
"This One's FOR HARRY!! We'll Miss You" . You can see

Jerry finished 26th in that race. But this car will still be
remembered as a tribute to one of the greatest men in all of
motorsports history, Harry Melling.
