After already racing 2 different designs in 1998, Cartoon Network debuted yet another design. On September 12th Cartoon Network released their third design of the 1998 Winston Cup Season. The #9 Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island Cartoon Network Wacky Racer driven by Jerry Nadeau. The car was brought out to promote Scooby-Doo's first movie since
since the 1980's, Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island. The car was a
big success with many Scooby fans. It was definetly a pretty cool design though. The car was a neon green, and really stuck out, which is what Cartoon Network wanted. On the hood was a scared Scooby with the Cartoon Network Wacky Racing logo. On the front right and left of the car was some scarey bats. On the right side of the car infront of the rear tire was the pirate zombie, Captain Moonscar. And behind it was a worried Velma. On the left there was a snake on the sponsor pannel, in front of the rear tire was Shaggy and behind him
another zombie. The TV pannel featured a spooky scene with
the Melling Logo and a crock. The rear decklid featured a
zombie with the CN racing logo. The 9 and Jerry Nadeau lettering were in a orange spooky design, all over the car were designs of moss. All that made a pretty spooky car, and definately promoted Scoob's new movie. You can see pictures of this spooky car at The Scooby-Doo On
Zombie Island #9 Picture Page! The car
got to race it's share of races, and had
it's ups and downs. But it was definetly a car that I bet Jerry was proud to call his first #9 Taurus.
