Thames Transit came into being on 7th March 1987, when Harry Blundred of Devon General started his Oxford Minibus and Oxford Tube operations. The operations of South Midland were absorbed in 1988.
This historical fleet list is complicated by virtue of the fact that vehicles frequently came and went from Transit Holdings' other operations in Portsmouth, Devon and Docklands. For the sake of completeness, the entire series have been included, but this means that many vehicles are listed which have never operated in Oxford. We hope at some point in the future to be able to distinguish those vehicles which have been part of the Oxford fleet.
Like all our other lists, this is unofficial, and probably contains inaccuracies and/or omissions. Any corrections are therefore welcome (however pedantic they may seem) and will be credited.
