Built with a few modifications
Body: After cutting a hole in the hood for the "bugcatcher" to poke through I fitted a CJ's resin pro-scoop. The front and rear bumpers were de-chromed and prepared for painting with the body and chassis, this was then airbrushed with 3 coats of a pale green enamel which was custom mixed. Then black BMF was applied to the side strips, the side mirrors were painted "satin" black.
Interior: The carpets and the bottom part of the door panels were flocked, the dash, seats and console were painted in a "satin" grey enamel from Humbrol. I partially scratch built a pair of sun glasses to sit on the console, as well as a pair of beer bottles in the drink holders. A cut out piece of clear was used to cover the gauges on the dash panel.
Engine: The engine was painted in Chev engine red from Model Master and treated to a distributor and coil kit from Parts by Parks. The down-swept exhausts were scratch built from aluminum tubing.
Wheels: The holes in the wheels were all drilled out instead of painting them, the wheels and rear tires are from the kit, the front tires are from the parts box. The tire lettering is hand painted with Tamiya flat white acrylic.
