Bed/Ramp: Scratchbuilt, using the plans in Car Modeler #25 by Mike Mellot, after photocopying and cutting out the template I used sheet styrene for the bed/ramp. The treadplate is from Auslowe. After assembling the whole thing I added a the tire rack, and cut out the side upswing access door to the spare and toolbox, the ramps are scratchbuilt using treadplate and Plastruct,…….........I also scratchbuilt the tail lights
Paint: Humbrol red enamel, three coats. The treadplate was painted with Humbrol steel [buffing].
Engine: The Ardun from the '50 Custom Pickup, wired with a Parts by Parks distributor kit.
The exhaust system is scratchbuilt from aluminum tubing, as is the fuel filler tube.
