Rheostatic control; foot operated master controller regulated by hydraulic damper giving "notchless" acceleration and breaking.
Breaking system combined rheostatic motor breaking with air operated wheel breaks.
These were the first of the Council's trolley buses to be painted red. The buses were assembled by MCCW in England. Their doors and interiors were some what cramped compared with the buses that preceeded and followed them. However their sturdy construction made them popular as storage sheds and batches after they were retired.
