All my Mind
The cloudy sky overcast and grey, passed before my windowpane today. The sunlight attempted to filter through but my thoughts still returned to you.
The trees stand bare in winter's cloak, not a sign of green the branches evoke, standing naked against the sky but you still linger in this mind's eye.
The flowers die in the freezing rain, covered with mulch to bloom new again when the sun shines forth in springtime's show but my thoughts stay on you, bright and aglow.
The day may be cloudy and gloomy to some It may seem to others a day full of glum For without a brightness that shines like the sun, thoughts turn to sadness and the weight like a ton.
But there is a lightness surrounding my heart, that the dreary day will not shorn apart. A sunray of laughter, a radiant beam shining back and smiling at me. A sweetheart of brightness to make my day right a kiss, an embrace, to give my day light.
