The CompanY

We first had the chance to know some of the members when we tapped Moy's expertise in back-up vocal arrangement for a contest piece we entered in one songwriting competition wherein John's work was one of the 12 finalists. Moy was such a friendly person that it wasn't such a hard thing when we had to contact them to sing for us in this project. John had written the song 1-0-2-6 with The CompanY in mind, toying with the idea it would be them who'll interpret the song. From the time I first talked with Moy about this song until the recording, he was so accommodating and helpful. Thru the assistance of the Backroom Inc. (their Agency Representation), BMG Records (Pilipinas) Inc. allowed The CompanY to lend their creative talent for this album. When we finally met the members the group completely, it was really pleasant to see all of them so friendly and professional. The recording session tured-out to be such a wonderful experience for us. John & I (together with some friends) were in awe with how the group delivers, pick-up instructions and record in such an amazing speed without sacrificing the quality! Since most of them have a 'daytime work' (aside from singing), it was understandable that they won't necessarily know the song by heart at the beginning. But that's the very reason why we're really amazed with how good they immediately grasp every single instruction Moy gave. Having a session with them, all a record producer has to do is relax and just wait for them to come out of the booth. The final product is REALLY beautiful. This may sound as an understatement but in a few words, The CompanY is "every producer's talent!".
