MARTIN GIROUX

You have now entered the personal part of this website: the author. My name is Martin Giroux (and I am 22 years old since december 1998), I've just moved to Cartierville on the North side of the Montreal island (Quebec, Canada). In fall 1999 I started a master in Virology and Immunology at the Armand-Frappier Institute. I graduated in Microbiology and Immunology (Honours program) with a minor in Biotechnology in June 1999 from the McGill University.

I know; doing this website brings me far from my actual studies but who cares: I've always loved the 2nd World War. At the very beginning we were three friends who were going to create an exhaustive website fully informed on the World War II Pacific, Europe, Africa… but university life and social life have taken too much time on my friends and so here is the website only on the Pacific (and me I had no life for a whole summer to do this website).

The second edition of this website was greatly appreciated and so I was proud to present the 3rd edition with even more informations (more than 260 screen-pages), more pictures (over 30), sounds and even a few movies. But the big plus of this website version 3.0 is for you out there who speaks english: yeah the whole site has been translated in english! (before it was only available in french). I really hope with this traduction that I will now be able to reach every World War II historian hobbist out there and to help you or please you.

And on these words, if you want to talk with me about anything: the weather… or to correct me on any misinformation I could have written in there (it happens) or for anything else; send me a e-mail.
