The sHOw MODULAR
MODEL RAILROAD CLUB
has been invited to present
our layout at the annual
Rolling Fork Iron Horse
Festival at New Haven,
Kentucky on September 10,
1994. Past festivals have
presented displays from
Louisville or Radcliff. We will
be the only club showing in
the school gymnasium. The
space reserved rou our club is
35 feet by 35 feet. Since we
are the only club invited, it is
important that we finish our
modules and corners by this
date and have all active
members present for this
event.
We are committed as a club to
be there. Please verify your
committment by returning
the form in this newsletter. It
is crutial for us to know if you
are not going to be an active
member of this modular club.
We must invite new members
to replace your module. This
festival will provide statewide
coverage for our club so we
must be ready for this one!

Steam rolls at
Rolling Fork
Ten members arrived at New
Haven, Kentucky for the club's
annual picnic and train ride.
Our discount was based on the
thirty who made reservations
so we are fortunate that the
Kentucky Railway Museum
honored the stated fee. Those
who rode the train were
treated to all the thrills of
steam railroading from engine
152 making the trip along the
Rolling Fork River from New
Haven to Boston and returning
to New Haven. A simulated
train robbery by Confederate
soldiers stopped the train and
gold was removed. Much action
and gunfire occured as the
U.S. marshall finally captured
the robbers. Riders were
treated to lots of scenery ideas
as we travelled the valley. If
you did not ride last week, be
sure to ride the train on
September 10th at the Rolling
Fork Iron Horse Festival at
New Haven, Kentucky.
