Train EXPO in
Bowling Green's
Passenger Depot
after Christmas
Parade Dec. 3rd
Next Meeting of
The sHOw at
the L & N
Passenger
Depot on
Saturday
Decenber 3rd,
at 10:00 A.M.
On the day of the Christmas
parade, the sHOw Train EXPO
will be presented as part of the
Operation Pride's L & N
Passenger Station lighting of the
tree ceremony after the parade
on December 3rd. Modules will
be set up promptly at 8:00 A.M.
iside the depot lobby and model
trains will run from 12:00 to 4:00
P.M. Santa will be there to pass
out favors to the children and
door prizes. It is important that
all members be present at 8:00
A.M. to help set up the modules
and test for any last minute
alterations that need to be made.
At 10:00 A.M. Friday December
2nd we need all members to
assist in preparing the site in the
lobby of the depot and placing
plastic wrap over lobby windows.
The modules will be removed
from the lobby on December 3rd
immediately after the lighting of
the Christmas tree. All members
are requested to help knock
down and move the club's corner
modules. This is our big sHOw
EXPO. It is what we have been
woeking on for a year now! Now
is the time for all good members
to come to the aid of their club.
The sHOw MODULAR MODEL
RAILROAD CLUB is now 1 year old!
Congratulations! We are 1 year old!
We have much to be proud of for in
the past year we started this
newsletter, increased our membership
dramatically, received several
donations of start-up money, electd
our first officers, framed a
constitution, set standards,
approved by-laws, filed incorporation
papers, designed our modules, built a
prototype module, made a model of
the L & N passenger depot, and
environs, constructed and completed
our corner modules, finished about
85% of members modules,m initiated
visits to home layouts and workshop
demonstrations, had a club picnic,
rode a real train, presented four

The Hobby Crossing store on
Campbell Lane in Bowling
Green donated a train set which
will be given as a door prize.

sHOw EXPOS, published a history
of the L & N in Bowling Green,
established contacts with the
media and Operation Pride, were
in the news, visited train shows in
other cities and started building a
club trailor. Whew! Quite a record
for a new club. Happy Birthday!
