Rumsie Butler 1947-1997Mr. Rumsie Gid Butler passed away on Sunday, August 24th, 1997. A native of Letcher County, Kentucky, Rumsie Butler was a charter member of the sHOw Modular Model Railroad and club Treasurer. Butler operated Butler Motors on College Street. A model railroader since the 1960's, he was also a long time member of the National Model Railroad Association and the Louisville & Nashville Historical Society. He took many photographs of trains and had a fine collection of model trains. He contributed financially to the club on several occassions to support what he said was a dream come true to have a model railroad club in the area. We enjoyed many great times in his home, at his business location, where the club has met the past two years, and attending EXPOS, train shows and conventions. Rumsie's enthusiasm and love for the hobby and support for the sHOw club and friendship will be truly missed.
