Most of these pictures are of Mandy when she was a little kitten.
She was a funny little girl who was her own boss all the time.

          The pictures:

          Mandy and James:

Mandy was such a good climber and took to riding on our shoulders from day one.
She always had this funny little expression that made her look "blonde",
or like she had been bonked over the head with a rolling pin.
She could jump onto the head of a pin if it were available...
          our little dainty girl...

          Mandy on Cat pole:

This picture shows Mandy as an adult...
she was always a kitten at heart. And she loved this cat pole.
We never intended for it to match her colouring though...

          Mandy Showing Ming How:

          Mandy Showing Ming

When we first brought Ming home,
we put him on the cat pole that we had built just for him.
But instead of liking it, he cried and cried, begging us to take him down.
When Mandy came home, she took to the pole right away,
and showed Ming just what he was missing.
He took to the cat pole once Mandy showed him how it was done.

          Ming Meets Mandy:

          Ming Meets Mandy

          When we brought Mandy home,
it was suggested that we bring her in, in a cardboard box.
This was suppose to give Ming an opportunity to sniff her before seeing her,
and for her to smell her new surroundings before seeing them.
She suddenly popped out of the box, and the test was about to begin...
They took to each other right from the go.
And they have been inseparable since...

          Ming, Me and Mandy:

          Ming, Me and Mandy

I was always one to do interesting things with my hair.
One day I decided to highlight parts of it when low and behold,
Mandy jumped up onto my lap to cuddle.
Ming, not wanting to be left out, decided on a more loftier perch.
They did not care at all what the stuff in my hair smelled like...
they stayed until I had to wash the stuff out!

So, there it is... a piece of my history.

Thank you, Betty, for sharing your joy along with your pain

It was such a special, touching tail...oops, I mean TALE!!!
