Hi! I'm Findus the Cat and I'm the owner of the house I live in. I let some humans and two dogs, Conrad and Molly, live with me. They are all OK and I get pretty decent food from the humans. I'm an outdoor/indoor cat which means that when I'm in the house I want to go out and when I'm outside I want to go in! Of course I expect someone to be there to open the door for me. When I want to go out too many times at night the humans can get a little upset with me. When I'm outside I have a lot of fun like stalking chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits. Sometimes I manage to get one and bring it to Mom, but she doesn't appreciate it at all. I can't understand why.

I just have to tell you the story of my life. A few years ago I was a homeless cat. I can't remember why I was in that situation, but I didn't have a home. My humans think that my former owner just dumped me in this area. If that's true what a nasty thing to do to a nice kitty like me! Well, one day I saw a nice human walking his two dogs and I just went up to them and tried to get their attention. The human petted me and I realized he was the guy and I decided to follow them home.

I was really hungry and I camped in their yard for a couple of days, in pouring rain, meowing heartbreakingly, and then finally they let me in. I did my best to show them what a nice kitty I am. I didn't scratch their furniture, or do anything else to upset them. I showed them that I knew how to use a litter box and so on. Finally they told me I could stay though they did not have any plans to get a kitty. That's how cat charm works!

As I mentioned before there are two dogs in my house and they are both OK. Conrad and I respect each other and are friends but Molly can be very annoying. She seems to like me a lot and sometimes I just have to hiss at her and show my claws and then she backs off. But I like them both and it's kind of fun to tease them. When they go for walks I usually join them. But, mind you, they are on a leash but of course I'm not!

Mom had ordered 2 lbs. löjrom (Swedish deli food for humans) from Minnesota and they sent, by mistake, 20 lbs. pike. I didn't mind at all!

A nice place for a true cat nap!
