| Chapter Thirteen ...you leave me breathless, but it's ok, cause you are my survival... Anabella awoke to Brian's face the next morning. She groaned and turned her head. She had a headache from the alcohol last night, but she could still remember every detail. Asking Brian to come back to the hotel, the awkwardness they had, and finally, the feeling of being in his arms when they became one. She smiled happily and snuggled into his arms. Brian awoke to find Anabella snuggling into his arms. He smiled and brushed a piece of her hair away. "Morning." he whispered into her ear. She turned to face him, "Morning." she smiled. Brian felt his heart tugging at him. Anabella was so beautiful lying there in his arms. Even when she just woke up, she was beautiful. And the guilt was beginning to set in. He had betrayed his wife, not only by sleeping with Anabella, but also by making love to her. His heart and his mind were having a tug-of-war over her, and his heart was quickly winning. He could barely believe that he was the same person. This wasn’t fair, and it wasn’t logical. There is no way that after having a person in your life not even twenty-four hours; they could change your entire outlook on life. And not only that, but make you act like a teenager in love, which is exactly how Brian felt. Here she was, lying right next to him, and his stomach was in knots, reminding him of the crushes he had in high school, and the anxiety of just being near that person. But Anabella, she just brought out every emotion he had, and he knew that she was someone that would constantly challenge him. She bit her lip, trying to keep herself from staring into his eyes forever. She was half- tempted to. Life would be so much easier if she could. “There’s really no words to say about this, huh?” she whispered. “ Words aren’t enough.” “They never are at the right moments.” They lay there, comfortably in silence for a few minutes. “We’re going to have to eventually move, you do know that Bella?” “No.” she snuggled closer to him. “Yes.” he responded, kissing her forehead. “Noo.” she whined. “Yees.” “ I don’t want to move.” she laid her head on his shoulder. “Neither do I, Bella, but we have to.” God how he didn’t want to move, how he could die happy if he could just stay with her forever, however, he did have the real world to contend with. Damn. “Oh fine!” she wasn’t mad; she just wanted to be with him. Was that such a crime? She wasn’t thinking clearly, she knew. She just met this person, and here she was, in bed with him. She never acted this way before, but then again, she had never felt this strong of a connection before. Hesitantly, she reached over and pulled her shirt up and over her head. Brian leaned over and grabbed her waist, pulling her back towards him. “ I changed my mind.” he mumbled into her hair. “Now, Brian you’re the one who said we had to get going.” she reminded him. “Yeah, but now I don’t wanna move!” he whined. She kissed him softly on the forehead, “Tough bananas mister, you have to get going!” Anabella laughed as she reached over to the floor to pick up her pants. She slipped them on and was sliding into her shoes when she felt a tug on her shirt. She turned around, “Yes Brian?” “Come here,” he murmured, pulling her down once again onto the bed. “Brian-” she began, but he quickly silenced her with a kiss. Anabella gave in to him; she couldn’t very well resist Brian’s kisses, now could she? *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Nick was wandering down the halls, for once he was up early and couldn’t seem to fall back to sleep. He couldn’t exactly leave and go anywhere, they were supposed to have a meeting sometime this morning, and he cursed himself for not paying attention to what time it was supposed to start. He turned a corner, heading back towards his room when he ran right into a blonde woman. He quickly reached out to steady both himself and the young woman. When he looked up he finally realized whom he had run in to. “ Hi Leighanne” he said. “What are you doing here?” |
