Soil: Any sand, loam or clay; likes organic content
Fertilizer: Acid fertilizer in spring
Prune: Thin as needed; easy to control
Problems: Aphids and scale possibleThis is a neat and bright plant for shade. Several other varieties of Osmanthus heterophyllus are grown. All are useful as untrimmed hedges.
