Growth: Rapid growth to 10 feet tall
Form: Upright form with 8 foot spread
Leaves: Glossy green, oval leaves to two inches long
Flowers: Masses of cream white, fragrant flowers in spring
Fruit or Seeds: Large, shiny, dark red berries last all winter
Exposure: Plant in full sun
Water: Deep water monthly
Soil: Prefers well drained soil
Fertilizer: Spring or fall with NPK
Prune: Must be controlled
Problems: Fireblight, woolly aphids, scale, spider mites

This variety is popular because of its bright red, long lasting berries. Flexible branches make it easy to espalier. It grows rapidly and needs frequent pruning. Growth inhibitor sprays are quite effective with all pyracanthas.
