Planet Earth . It took 3000 million years of evolution to become what it is today. An Earth filled with amazingly different forms of life. This is the Earth that feeds us and sustains our lives.
Yet, before us, something terribly frightening is happening. Every day, whole areas of forests are disappearing and animals and plants face extinction.
Every minute, toxic wastes seep into our drinking water. Smog from cities pollutes the air we breathe. Our atmosphere is getting hotter and hotter. The problems are big and many. Can we do anything??
Sure!! Of course we can! And in many ways!! There are many easy things you can do to save Earth. While one person cannot solve the problems, the combination of many individual efforts can make things different.
It is time for us to act responsibly and work towards preserving planet Earth. Everyone -adult and child- should play his or her part. After all, Earth is the only home we have.
