Angel's Pen - Introduction

Thank you for visiting my poetry page.
I hope my poetry gives you an insight into
the person behind Poet's Pen. This poem in
particular reveals my need to write poetry.
My writing is a gift given to me from the
people in my life who have touched my heart.

l thank them so much for their gift.

"POET'S PEN"

My pen is like an extension of my heart,
writing to paper all the feelings that my heart dearly holds.
Feelings that become thoughts that grow inside me,
expressed in words, as each thought unfolds.

My pen knows one language only,
and that being the most special, the language of love.
Simple words written about feelings for others,
so pure in their meaning, as a beautiful white dove.

The words that my pen writes are a gift,
given to me by the people who have touched my heart.
No talent is needed when your life is blessed,
by special people, who have created within me this art.

Without them, there would be no feelings,
and no words to be expressed through my pen.
The sheets of paper in front of me would be blank,
as no words inside me, would need to be spoken.

But my heart overflows with all that it feels,
creating such a need for me to write what l feel inside.
Opening my heart like a flower caressed by the sunshine,
revealling all the beauty, the closed petals hide.

Words placed side by side to give them true meaning,
as together they create the thoughts that flow time and again.
Words that so many others have given to me,
to bring life and feeling to this poet's pen.
