1x90, 1x60 and 1x100 min. tapes
One of the most common tracks that Floydophiles and Echoesians alike find on roios are some of the various BBC cuts. The Floyd played the BBC a total of 7 times between 25Sep67 and 30Sep71. Syd Barrett also played the BBC twice since leaving the Floyd. I decided to compile the BBC tapes because of frustration with trying to find a complete roio collection of these tracks.
When compiling the tapes I used my best copy of each song. Thus each show is not necessarilly compiled from the same roio. The set also includes the rare Embyro and Blues performance from the 30Sep71 show. All of the tracks in the tree are of VG+ -> EX quality bar the 2 shows from 1967 which are of a bit lesser quality.
Two BBC shows that the Floyd performed are missing from the set. 03Apr67 was the Floyd's first BBC appearance. However, this was a live show and sadly it was not recorded, just broadcast, by the BBC. 20Dec68 met a similar fate, being only broadcast. The famous 16Nov74 DSOTM BBC broadcast was not included in the set because it was not a show specifically for the BBC but was simulcast by the BBC live from Wembley Stadium.
I hope that you enjoy the set! If you have any questions comments etc. please don't hesitate to mail me.

From .\\ike's later posting:
Upon hearing all of the questions regarding the material on Meddler and its counterpart on the BBC tree I answer this:
When I originally made the BBC tree source tapes, about 2 months ago, Meddler was a planned release and was not available to myself nor any one else. Thus I couldn't put the apperantly great source of Meddler on my BBC tree source tapes. The Deejay chatter between songs is and isn't there. Heres what I did in detail with the 30Sep71 BBC show on the BBC tapes:
John Peel Introduction (Taken from the old vinyl roio "Floyds Of London". Transcribed John Peel says, "Live From the BBC in London this is John Peel presenting the Pink Floyd live in concert, <aplause>") FOS, OoTD, Echoes, The Embryo
So as you can see all subscribers will miss out on the JP chatter between tracks..... I wish I could have included this but I did not find it to be available........ I'm sorry... I hope that no subscribers will feel their complete 30Sep71 show to be inadequate to Meddler, though I'm afraid that it probably is.
I have yet to hear meddler though I'm sure I will be impressed......

* Note! The official BBC Sessionography guide states that The Narrow Way was played after The Beginning and Beset... However, all tapes I have ever heard have this track segueing into The Beginning... Thus making it likely in my mind that the 3 tracks were actually played this way....

* Note! The first 5 seconds of the Embryo are cut off.... I have 2 copies of this song both are like this.... This is the best sounding of the 2... Sorry for the inconvience... Also note! A Deejay appears in the middle of the song and her dialogue was edited out on my original tape... this is not my doing....
