Within the past 15 years, scientists are discovering more and more about Muscular Dystrophy. Since 1986, they have identified genes that when flawed can cause certain forms of MD. This is often a first step to better diagnostic tests and better understanding of the biological basis of a disease, and in the long run figuring out what goes wrong in muscles and how to eventually cure it
There are many, including Thom and I, that have a angel watching over us... not only giving us strength to live from day to day with MD in our lives, but most of all, they give us hope that a cure will be found soon.
