To search for a code in Phone Decoder, first select the search type at the top of the main window (UK or International). Then select whether you want to search for the name of a place or country, or the dialling code of a place or country. When you have done this type what you want to search for in the text entry box. Click on the button marked search, press F3 or select Search from the Search menu.

Once you have initiated a search, Phone Decoder will spend a few seconds looking up the requested information. The search results will then be shown at the bottom of the main window. A menu of additional functions can be accessed at this stage by selecting an item in the search results list and then right-clicking it. See above.

Copy Individual Code
Copies the currently selected item to the clipboard.

Dial Number
Loads the Windows 95 Dialer application to dial the selected code.

Some of the options available in this right-click menu are available in the main menu at the top of the window.

Print All - Allows you to print all the codes found Exit - Quits Phone Decoder

Edit Menu

Cut - Cuts the selected text to the clipboard Copy - Copies the selected text or item to the clipboard Paste - Pastes any text on the clipboard into the selected text area Delete - Deletes the selected text Copy All - Copies all codes found to the clipboard

Search Menu

Search - Searches the database for the text you have entered

Tools Menu

Dial Number - Loads the Windows 95 Dialer application to dial the selected code
