LA GRAN SABANA (2/5)

The trip continues with two pictures from Kama Meru or Salto Kama in spanish. The water falls 82 mts (270 feet) to a pond that can be reached by an easy trail covered in some places with orchids of several types.

Here you have Daniel, David and Gaby at the bottom of Kama Meru, with a beautiful rainbow on the background.

Gladys and Gaby, waiting while her husband and son were swimming trying to reach the other side of the lagoon. We tried hard, but .... No success!. The strong sounds, the feeling of the water falling on your head, plus the misterious water color combined to other factors, prevented a successful journey.

Upstream, a few minutes ride on curiara (indian canoe), there is beautiful beach called "La Playita" that I really recommend to go. The ride on the silent river is unique. La Playita is located where to rivers joint to create the Kama river.
