This old machine can still do a useful text editing job if you don't want pictures in as well.

Setting the Date:

Cannot set the date (mm-dd-yy) to 01-01-00.
Can set it to 01-01-2000.

Date was set to 12-31-99 and date progressed ok to 01-01-2000 while machine remained on.

Date was ok after machine rebooted.

Note: Batteries were not used in the machine. It seems that the DISK is used to keep the date! This means that if not progressed forcably, the date progresses only while the machine is on.

Default date for new disks = 01-Jan-1980
