Windows 95
|
Windows 95 date setting routines try to keep the BIOS updated as well
as the Operating System. This means that a date passed Yr200, if not recogised
by the BIOS will keep resetting the clock at power-down.

Floppy Disk
|
Machines which do NOT have a hard disk, may use the floppy to
maintain the time, rather than a battery-backed BIOS.
In fact you may find it better to use the achine to record
time passing ONLY while the machine is turned on, getting
relative dates not actual dates on your files.
It may even be better to remove battries and rely on resetting the
date each time you turn on. A batch file for this may be provided
here later.
