It happened in Grodzied on July 19th/31st , 1883 at 4 p.m., appeared Gottfried Schoenwald, owner, residing in Obory, age 36 , in the presence of Michael Obst, age 34, and Matvei Gauf , age 48 , both owners residing in Obory and they said to us that a male child was born in Obory July 17th/29th this year at 2 a.m. from his lawful wife, Dorothy born Grunwald, age 36. This child was baptized Ferdinand. Witnesses were: Michael Obst and Juliana Kvast. This act was read to the attending father and to the witnesses. We only need to sign. All three said that they do not write.
