Past Performances:

  • Nine Women -- Betty Oliphant Theatre, Toronto, January 1994
    A modern staging of the Nava-Rasa, the classical Indian dance-drama portraying the nine sentiments. Music by the Toronto Tabla Ensemble and guestsmerged Persian, Indian and contemporary western styles.
  • Medicine Wheel -- Developed for fFida, the fringe festival of independent dance artists, 1992
    A collaboration with some of Canada's leading First Nations performers, singer Sadie Buck, actors Madeline Bergeron and Jack Burning, with Kathak dancer Joanna Das and M-DO company members.
  • Ancient Futures -- Presented at fFida, the fringe festival of independent dance artists, 1991
    A collaboration with Toronto-based Japanese taiko drumming ensemble Yaiku Do to explore common elements in societies through rhythm.
