"Je Ne M'en Souviens Pas"

Before I get into the song, one note about the title of this CD 
('How Does your Garden Grow?'): In The Vampire Lestat, Lestat refers
to everything in the mortal realm as the 'Savage Garden' (to 
Gabrielle: "We are nothing, you and I, but exotica in this 
Savage Garden'). Also, '*A Series of Nocturnes': vampires
are nocturnal creatures, and The Vampire Chronicles is a series.

Now, to the song. 'Je Ne M'en Souviens Pas' is French for 
'I Do Not Remember It'. Most of the VampChrons revolve around
France (specifically Paris) or New Orleans (former French territory).
"We're all just a scene in Mona's dream," could be in reference 
to Mona Mayfair (of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches set), or could
ultimately be in reference to Anne herself (the Mistress of Ceremonies
in the VampChron realm).
