ANOTHER SILENT MORNING
Another silent morning, and the moon has been replaced
And the stars fell like diamonds from a black velvet drape;
And as the curtain slowly rises, soon I come to realize
That you're not here,
So I sadly close my eyes...
I close my eyes.
My dreams were strangely real last night.
I found you dressed in candlelight,
And I was holding you so close and tight...
So tight.
Another sunless afternoon and my mind is far away.
I hear our laughter echoing from a distant yesterday.
Tell me that it's not too late.
Can't we get back to the place
where everything seemed blessed and sealed in fate...
Sealed in faith.
Another dismal, lonely night, a black and empty sky;
The moon is hiding in the clouds and the heavens start to cry.
A weather vane is spinning 'round,
The rainfall gently pats the ground.
I only feel like lying down to sleep...
Just sleep.
My dreams were strangely real last night.
I found you dressed in candlelight,
And I was holding you so close and tight...
So tight;
And everything seemed beautiful and right...
So right.
