Life Itself...

The more I look at this, the more I realize that it is about Life~ The stream is ourselves, winding, boiling; looking at times, so calm, while underneath, the current rages with relentless strength. Enough so, at times, to change our course. Although, for the time being, we keep within the confines of the bank, which was, originally, the easier way, the "path of least resistance", through our persistence and strength, we eventually wear away at the confines that direct us. The one thing that we can count on is the Wall in the background. Its strength and influence always try to keep us headed in the right direction. At times, the torrents rage, and the wall crumbles and sometimes, even falls, letting us wear away at the bank behind it. But if we rebuild the wall, every time that it happens, each time stronger than before, we are again headed in the right direction.
Everything along our bank, everything we touch, we influence in one way or another. Through our nourishment, or our rage, and even neglect as we wash away the dirt that holds the roots of the "mighty oak," slowly but surely undermining its strength, and eventually the oak will tumble. And depending upon which way that it falls, it too can influence our direction, and even too, destroy the Wall.
Depending on how others "view" us, the rage can appear as cotton candy fluff, or as boiling torrents, when in reality, it is nothing more than trying to get around some obstacle in our path.
We cannot completely wall our banks, for if we do, we become no more than a cistern, or a drainage ditch, totally directed, and controlled by outside influence, and we affect nothing upon our way. Such a boring existence. And I have NEVER seen a beautiful drainage ditch.
As time goes on, we eventually widen, our course more sure, our banks more broad. Our turmoil slows, our rages subside and our whole existence becomes more peaceful. But all this happens in Time.
