A formal portrait of the King and Queen of LRF, in procession to the Jousting Arena. They certainly knew how to put on a regal air when the occasion called for it! In lieu of the usual Noon Parade held at most faires, there were actually two processions during the day at LRF. Sometime in the forenoon, the Queen with her ladies-in-waiting would do a shopping tour of the merchants' booths, with a formal parade of the entire Court and cast in the mid-afternoon. The opportunity to "hobnob" with faire Royalty was a nice touch, indeed!

The Queen speaking with a few of her many ladies-in-waiting, following the cast "portrait" taken at the Jousting Arena on the last Saturday of the festival. Despite changeable weather and a demanding schedule, she seemed to handle her Royal duties with ease and grace. A most lovely lady: the crown jewel in a wonderful Court, truly! |

Cardinal Sinnius Vice came all the way from the Maryland Renaissance Festival to bless LRF patrons and hear their confessions. A most earthy man of the cloth: his favorite blessing seemed to be: "Go and Sin some more!" |
Admission to LRF: $8.50 Handpainted Dragon cape: $250.00 That Look: PRICELESS! Here the good Cardinal, er, "admires" the proprietor of Sibella Capes as the pair of them put on an impromptu afternoon fashion show on The Serpentine. Both the Cardinal and Ryleh were pressed into service as models, showing off Sibella's wond'rous designs to admiring onlookers. I wit not if they had any other custom from that show, but they certainly sold me a cape! |
